We’d like to thank all organisations and companies for supporting Women in the Fire Service UK in 2022-23. This year we’re delighted to announce that the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) and Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service have joined us as corporate members for 2023 bringing our supporters to nearly sixty.
Jules King, WFS Chair, said:
“We gratefully acknowledge those that contribute to the ongoing success of WFS. Membership is crucial to us as a not-for-profit organisation, so helping us to deliver and achieve more. WFS values these partnerships greatly, which help bring women to the forefront of the fire and rescue sector. The positive collaborations with our members play an important role in this progress.
Our expertise, skills and knowledge in providing unique and highly tailored learning and development events have proven impact on boosting workforce engagement levels and progress. And our achievements have been greater, thanks to the many corporate members we have worked with over the last two decades.
Together, we have worked on programmes and projects to make sure the sector is in a better position to enable and inspire confident and successful women to build a more progressive Fire and Rescue Service. As we look forward to the next few years, we would like to thank everyone who has been part of this journey so far.”
NFCC’s Chief Operating Officer, Susannah Hancock said:
“I am delighted that the National Fire Chiefs Council has formally joined WFS as a member. The work of WFS is of huge importance to all of our work and we look forward to building a really positive and proactive working relationship with WFS in the coming months and years. NFCC staff will benefit immensely from the WFS network and activities, and this in turn, will help us to build ever-stronger relationships with our fire and rescue service colleagues. There are some great opportunities for us to work collaboratively moving forward and to compliment each other in supporting and inspiring an inclusive and diverse fire and rescue service. We look forward to sharing this journey.”
