Women’s Development Programme

WFS Women’s Development Programme

Our Women’s Development Programme is a bespoke programme to help women identify clear, practical and realistic steps to develop self-confidence in their professional and personal lives. Facilitators Jenny Pollock and Emma Shute of Women to Work, explore topics including taking control and challenging limiting beliefs, and how to identify strategies to build personal resilience.

The programme consists of three half-day workshops over three months. Workshops take place remotely with the potential for one workshop to be held in-person.

Discounted rates for WFS Corporate Members (all previous attendees were employer funded, so ask your Service about the possibility of funding your place).

Women’s Development Programme aims

A programme for women* at all levels in the fire service who want to:

  • take control of their work and life now and in the future
  • have their voice heard in a way that’s meaningful to them
  • reconnect with who they are and all they have to offer
  • identify and challenge any limiting beliefs that may be holding them back and find strategies to build their personal resilience
  • value themselves and what they need and want from work and life
  • engage, connect and build relationships with other women in the emergency services

*Open to non-binary and gender-fluid identities and those who identify as women.
