
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Fire Control – Learning and Development Manager to join our Fire Control Team. You will join us on a full time basis working 42 hours per week, on a permanent basis.
This role is available on Grey Book Control Terms and Conditions, working the Day Duty System and you will receive a competitive salary at Watch Manager Development rate of £40,538 (gross) per annum. The role is based at our Service Headquarters in Exeter.
Key responsibilities of the Data Team Manager role:
-Develop and maintain, plan and support delivery of acquisition training and associated consolidation exercises, of developing training, Fire Control learning/training and Supervisory Review Training.
-Monitor and modify planned training activities to ensure the successful completion of team and Service objectives.
-Monitor and quality assure Call Quality Assessments to identify training and development needs.
-Collaborate with other FRS stakeholders to ensure National Operational Guidance and learning is absorbed and embedded into Fire Control supporting wider Service Delivery.
-Develop, plan and support training events of Service staff.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish new/revised ways of working to accommodate new initiatives.
-Liaise with relevant stakeholders, internally and externally, to establish and maintain good working relationships to support Fire Control learning and wider Service Delivery.
-Assist the Control Group Support Team in developing and managing effective resilience procedures for all critical systems and operations.
-Maintain a safe working environment and support DSFRS ‘Safe to’ culture.
