What individual membership supports

Individual membership is open to anyone who supports equality and representation across the Fire & Rescue Service. By becoming a member, you actively support the aims of WFS:

  • To enable women to reach their full potential
  • To be a recognised resource in every UK Fire and Rescue Service
  • To support gender equality in the UK and overseas
  • To nurture and encourage role models – ‘if she can see it, she can be it’

Why become a member?

  • Support women throughout their fire service career ensuring they can reach their full potential
  • Be part of a trusted network of peers and allies
  • Strengthen national influence on equality
  • Help drive lasting change across the sector
