£13.90 to £14.59 per hour + benefits (Pro-rata)
About the role
We are seeking to fill an upcoming vacancy for the role of Service Delivery Staffing & Training Administrator. This is a part time position offered as part of a job share arrangement.
Reporting directly to Watch Manager Staffing & Training you will be responsible for making sure Tyne & Wear Fire & Rescue Service has the right people, in the right place, at the right time so that services can operate safely, efficiently.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to the TWFRS Values of Safety, Integrity, Inclusivity and Learning, and champion these in their day‑to‑day work. As a Service Delivery Staffing & Training Administrator you will:
• Maintain accurate staffing records for operational and support staff.
• Assist with duty system administration, including watches, shifts and availability.
• Process staffing changes, including starters, leavers, role changes and temporary assignments.
• Monitor and report on staffing levels, vacancies and resilience.
• Liaise with Service Delivery managers to support effective workforce planning.
• Ensure compliance with working time regulations, rest periods and contractual terms.
We are seeking a candidate who has demonstrable experience of:
• An experienced Administrator or with a qualification in an Administrative related subject.
• Experience of IT with good typing skills and confident using a range of programmes including email, word processors, presentations and spreadsheets.
• Strong communication skills, acting as a first point of contact for staffing queries from managers and operational staff.
• Ability to analyse data and produce reports to inform management decision making and resource planning.
• Experience maintaining accurate workforce records, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance.
