Your role and responsibilities
- As a key member of the Operational Training Team, you will provide specialist admin support as well as acting as first point of contact to internal and external customers when handling general enquiries.
- You will need to be able to coordinate the admin work to support our fire training instructors, ensuring that information is correct and recorded effectively liaising with other agencies when required.
- Maintain and update database records with sensitive information and adhering to data protection guidance is essential.
- Provide administrative support to projects in the department
You will need
- A high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications and web-based systems
- To be comfortable learning and using new digital systems and applications
- Organisational skills to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines
- To share knowledge and expertise to assist in the development and delivery of projects.
- A confident communicator who can:
– Provide advice and guidance on a range of issues.
– Represent their team internally and externally.
– Build and use relationships effectively.

- The Operational Training Team deliver acquisition and maintenance courses to all Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service employees year-round.
