We are recruiting Fire Control Firefighters — could this be your next meaningful career move?
If you are calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and want a role where your actions make a real difference, we would love to hear from you. As a Fire Control Firefighter, you will be the first voice someone hears when they dial 999 — guiding callers, gathering crucial information, and supporting our crews so they can keep the public safe. Every call matters, and so will you.
You don’t need fire service experience. What matters is your potential, empathy, problem‑solving skills, and ability to stay focused when things get busy. We are looking for people who care deeply about helping others and who thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment.
You will be based in our newly refurbished Control Room in Leamington Spa, working within a supportive watch structure and using upgraded systems and technology. You will also benefit from comprehensive training, development opportunities, the Local Government Pension Scheme, generous leave, and a workplace that values inclusion and wellbeing.
If you are looking for a role with real purpose, one where you can make a difference every single day, we encourage you to apply.
Applications close Tuesday 31st March 2026 (midnight), with interviews on 9th and 10th April.
Apply now and help us shape the future of Fire Control in Warwickshire or please share this opportunity with anyone who might be a great fit.
