The NFCC is currently seeking a competent and conscientious Project Manager to join our Protection Team.
As a member of NFCC you will deliver projects to meet organisational objectives as set by NFCC Membership, Committees and the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government. Your primary focus will be leading projects that support the programme of work that sits in the Protection Reform Unit within NFCC.
You will be expected to deliver projects to agreed timescales and on budget, in line with internal governance processes and project management techniques.
The role will require you to represent the views and values of NFCC and present to project boards and other groups, and liaise through effectively with stakeholders.
The primary purpose of the role is to support the NFCC in delivering positive change to the sector through effective project management.
We are looking for a professional individual that has :
Essential
Proven project management experience, including projects involving procurement activities.
Experience of establishing, planning and managing projects from instigation to completion on time and within budget.
Experience of managing project teams including staff that you do not line manage.
Knowledge of project management tools and methodology and an understanding of how to apply them appropriately.
Effective analytical skills, with the ability to review and interpret complex and sometimes conflicting information and data and translate into reports and specifications.
Effective communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written).
Experience of supporting and coordinating multiple projects at the same time.
Desirable
A working knowledge of the Fire and Rescue sector.
Possess a project management qualification commensurate with the expectations of the role through a recognised and accredited awarding organisation.
Experience of working at a local, regional and national levels with partners to deliver change through effective project management.
