We are looking for friendly enthusiastic people who want to make a real difference in the lives of young people to join us in our new volunteer role of Fire Cadet Leader.
The role will involve educating young people in a variety of settings and activities. These include practical drill yard activities using Fire Service equipment and techniques through to interactive classroom learning. The wellbeing of young people is vitally important to us so we welcome applicants with experience of helping young people and an awareness of Safeguarding though as part of your induction training these subjects and more will be covered. The role will also involve opportunities to work with young people in the community, attending various events where alongside cadets you will promote fire, road and water safety to help keep our communities safe.
As a Fire Cadet Leader you will be valued by us and the difference you make to the lives of young people gives a real sense of satisfaction.
If you are interested please apply providing information about how you meet our criteria and your reasons for wanting to volunteer with us. We will be offering interviews and meetings during May/June 2026 to progress applications.
As volunteers will be representing the service we will undertake some background checks and an enhanced DBS check to help us safeguard the public.
