An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the North East Area Team as an Area Administrative Assistant (Area Support), based primarily at Stratford. This permanent role is key to delivering efficient, high quality administrative and data support to a busy operational Area.
We are looking for a pro active, well organised individual who is confident working in a fast paced environment and able to manage competing priorities effectively. You will be comfortable using IT systems, including Microsoft 365 and Power BI, and maintaining accurate records, systems and processes.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential, along with experience in preparing agendas, taking clear and accurate notes, and producing meeting records to support Area management and operational teams.
This role requires regular attendance at Stratford and flexibility to travel to different locations across the Area to meet operational and administrative needs. You will provide vital support to the Area Management team, Borough Commanders and station based staff, ensuring effective area support and compliance with Brigade policies.

Assessment Overview
Stage 1

1. Experience of writing correspondence, minutes and short reports in plain English, using correct grammar, spelling and appropriate vocabulary.
2. Experience of organising, planning and prioritising own work; meeting deadlines and targets while working flexibly within a team.
3. Experience of using standard computerised office systems and specialised computer databases together with an understanding of their role in an office environment.
4. Experience of undertaking multi-step manual and computerised administrative processes.
