
Job Summary
We have a number of substantive and temporary Senior Instructor positions at Training and Development working the (Day Duty) nine-day fortnight duty system.
This position is open to competent Firefighters, Crew Managers and Watch Managers both internal and external.
Applicants will be required to work 14 days, evening and/or weekends in addition to your contracted hours per financial year (pro rata for part time staff).

Substantive post holder:
The successful substantive candidate will be required to remain in their new post for three years minimum, unless promoted.
The 8.9% flexible allowance will be pensionable.
Temporary post holder:
Any temporary position will attract the 8.9% flexible allowance but will not be pensionable.
Should a temporary position become available substantively within 12 months from successful date then this can be made substantive.

Job Objectives
Will be able to deliver the services range of training materials to the highest standards have a thorough understanding of the department plan and how to efficiently deliver the success measures within it.
Must act as a role model and display positive, professional, and honest behaviours.
Be prepared to attend instructional course as the department requires these may include but are not limited to Bai, FBTi, RTCi, MOD3 Water Rescue instructor and Safe Working At Height instructor subject to the needs of the department.
