
Are you an experienced project management professional with technical and ICT knowledge? Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, the largest non-metropolitan Fire and Rescue Service in England, is on the lookout for a Technical Project Manager to join our Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) team at our Service Headquarters in Exeter.
This position is available on a fixed term contract until 31 December 2029, working full-time (37 hours per week) and offers a competitive salary of £48,226 – £51,536 (gross) per annum.

As our Technical Project Manager, you will take full ownership of complex ICT projects – specifically our Emergency Services Network (ESN) project. You will manage scope, budgets, risks, resources, suppliers and stakeholder engagement – ensuring a successful delivery and end result.
Key Responsibilities
Leading on the delivery of our Emergency Services Network (ESN) project to agreed time, cost and quality standards.
Managing project governance, reporting risk, and financial control.
Influencing key stakeholders and Project Boards
Coordinating internal teams and third-party suppliers
Ensuring solutions align with organisational strategy and statutory obligations
Overseeing communications and change management to support successful transition into business as usual.
This is a role requiring strong leadership, technical insight, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
